Haiti Mission Trip

The last week of March in 2015 Point Peter Baptist Church sent 9 people to Haiti. Freddie and I were blessed to be a part of this Mission. We teamed up with Baptist for Haiti and spent the week teaching CPR and First Aid, organizing and cataloging the missions medical supplies and ministering to the kids in the Orphanage. To say that it was a life changing experience is an understatement.

The Team, along with Roland and Mary Norris the resident Missionaries on the beach in Haiti

On our way through Port A Prince upon arrival in Haiti

Learning to splint an arm.

Starting class for the Staff at the Georgia House in Haiti

Giving out shirts at the Orphanage.

Sorting and labeling medical supplies

Setting up for another class in a local Haiti Church.

Our students eager to learn.
One of the things that made an impression on us was the serious attention the students gave to class and the detailed questions they asked. We taught leaders in 4 different Churches as well as the Orphanage and each time the students asked intelligent questions and wanted more detailed medical information than we were qualified to answer. These people had felt helpless seeing friends and loved ones injured and killed in the earthquake that we think of as long ago but feels like only yesterday to them. They have very limited access to medical care and were eager to be equipped to help their people.
